International Cuemakers Association - Members Forum

Our Members Only Forum

The goal of the forum is to help elevate the level of craftsmanship and efficiency among our members. Members who agree to our terms for using the forum will be given a password and will be able to read and or post in the forum using their real name. The forum is for discussing cuemaking techniques, marketing of cues and cuemaking business in general. It is NOT for gossiping, or running down other cue makers and companies or their products, whether they are members or not. It is a forum where the more experienced cuemakers can answer questions and help out the less experienced. We can all learn from each other.

Members must agree not to copy and paste any information from this forum anywhere else or allow any non members to read the content. This may sound overly picky, but put yourself in the shoes of the advanced cuemaker who is kind enough to share his hard earned secrets with our members. He might not want everything he shares to become common knowledge. Some may want to help everyone and others may not want to help any of those outside the association and those who feel that way should have their wishes honored.

So let us discuss finishing, point work, sanding, sawing, seasoning wood, machinery, glues, cutting techniques, CNC and other inlay methods, and marketing, but leave the pettiness we have observed on other sites elsewhere. Let's be professionals in our forum and carry that over into professionalism outside the forum also. Don't leave any degrading or rude posts even if you do think the other cuemakers idea is idiotic. Just state nicely what you have found that works best for you. If you don't abide by these rules you will get locked out.

The book of Proverbs says: "As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friends."

Let us conduct ourselves in a friendly manner and help one another! That is the bottom line!
